The Inspiration
The Mediterranean has always been at the heart of Amphora Collection. Its landscapes, architecture, and traditions continue to shape the way we approach design. For our second collaboration with Louiza by Luisa World, we wanted to continue the dialogue we began last year. Building on last year's floral narrative, we looked deeper into the decorative language of Greek island embroidery, discovering motifs of birds, flowers, leaves, and organic forms that have been passed down through generations. Rather than reproducing these patterns directly, we reinterpreted them through a contemporary lens, creating embroidery that feels timeless while remaining connected to our own visual world.

The Design Process
The process began with material exploration and the development of embroidered details that could complement the Sofia bag's sculptural silhouette. We experimented with different raffia textures, colors, and techniques, creating combinations that balanced the natural character of the material with the structure of the bag. Each detail was carefully considered, from the placement of the embroidered motifs to the relationship between the softness of the raffia material and the defined structure of the paper straw body. The embroidery became more than a decorative element; it became a way to add another layer of storytelling to the design.

An Evolving Dialogue
The second year of the Amphora x Louiza by Luisa World collaboration is a continuation of our shared exploration of design, craftsmanship, and Greek heritage. It reflects an evolving dialogue between tradition and contemporary design, where sculptural forms, natural materials, and hand embroidery come together to create a piece that celebrates the artistry behind every detail. A pieces created not only to be admired, but to tell the story of the process, the materials, and the craftsmanship behind it.
